Introducing Our Collaborators

  Welcome to May the Stars Shine Upon You. We wanted to take a moment to briefly introduce ourselves and give our backgrounds to the readers. This blog is primary written by myself D.M. You will get to read a far amount of input by T and J on various subjects as they wish to weigh in. Others may add tidbits throughout the blog and new collaborators will be added to this page as that happens.


D.M. or  D.

   I am the main writer of this blog, its my brainchild and personal project. I am a woman in my thirties who is actively working toward overcoming my various types of abuse. I was sexual abused as a child and in my late teens went through an abusive romantic relationship. I have PTSD from the abuse I endured and am really working on being functional, healthy, and happy.

    That being said, I am a relatively happy person. I enjoy reading, writing, painting, gaming, and cooking. 

* My personal experience and input on a particular post will appear in italics. I write that majority of the posts so that lovely blue is my font color.

T.

  I'm an adult male in my fifties, who only began to recall my abuse in my thirties. At this point, there's pretty much zero possibility of finding physical evidence, but what I've remembered does match up with other things that were happening at the time, and with the psychological problems I suffered as a teenager and young adult. I'm still recalling new information, although it's slowed down a lot. The upshot, though, is that while all this happened a long time ago, for me, it's more like a fresh trauma.

I am a computer professional with an adult daughter, three cats, and a deep love of writing, gaming and puns.

I am a woman in the US Navy.

I survived sexual assault after joining the armed forces. It has been hard to continue and difficult to trust in my shipmates again.

I am a man in my early thirties. I greatly enjoy gaming; PC, console, and tabletop. I love to read fantasy and fiction. D.M is my best friend & wife.

May The Stars Shine Upon You will feature a number of collaborators over time. New collaborators will be added here as they join our project. Each will be given a font or color to highlight their contributions to our posts and making it easier to differentiate who is talking.
